The meadow has several large oak trees for shade. Picnic tables and an assortment of different games make for the perfect country day. If you want to get away from it all, this is the place to do it!
Walk from the meadow down a short path, cross a wet-weather creek over a small bridge, and you will arrive at The Meadow’s Edge Cabin. There are many large oak trees around the cabin, spreading their canopies high above you, framing the sun and sky and clouds in their branches. Down at eye-level, a grove of wild yaupon hollies hides you from the rest of the world. The front porch has a 4-person hot-tub with a view of the meadow peeking through the trees. The jets of warm water relax and rejuvenate you as you enjoy this wooded retreat. The front porch also has a dining table and two chairs, great for relaxing, eating, and watching the birds fly by. Step inside the window-filled cabin. It’s the perfect size for one to six people to enjoy a getaway. |

The main room has a love seat, a dining area, and a wall-mounted flat screen TV with built-in DVD player. You can watch movies from the sofa, or swivel the TV and watch them from bed.
High ceilings give the cabin an airy feel. Thick cedar beams span the open space of the main room. Stained-glass windows, Victorian corbels, gingerbread scrollwork, and salvaged architectural pieces add grace to the wood-stained shiplap walls. To the side of the front room is a fully-functional kitchen with refrigerator, stove, and microwave. Breakfast items are provided for you, so that you can prepare breakfast at your leisure. Sit at the bar and partake of a meal or snack, as you enjoy the view into the meadow. The bedroom features a king-sized bed and four big windows that bring the forest inside. Enjoy a sleepy morning of sipping coffee in bed, and watching the light of dawn play on the surrounding leaves.
The bathroom has stain-glass windows that let the natural light in, plenty of hooks and shelves, a shower, and a toilet closet with a closing door. The unique floor plan of the Meadow’s Edge cabin creates three different angular spaces for cooking, lounging, and sleeping. Plenty of storage and counter-space make this a functional and ergonomic home for longer-term stays. Big windows give a 180 degree view into the trees, making the Meadow’s Edge cabin a special place any time of the year. |
